The sea breezes of this enchanting seaside town have piqued appetites of visitors ever since its emergence as a popular holiday destination more than a hundred years ago.
Nowadays there’s an opportunity to satisfy those appetites by combining an evening saunter along the famous beach with a five-course gastronomic delight.
Five leading international resort hotels have joined forces to create Dine Along the Beach – an innovative beachfront dinner experience showcasing their finest cuisine and wines.
Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin, and Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa all host different courses of a sumptuous dinner, held on the first Thursday of each month.
Instead of sitting down at the same table, diners wend their way along the beach from resort to resort in a fourhour odyssey that mingles sensations of soft white sand between the toes, and five-star cuisine on the palate.
Each course is prepared by expert chefs and paired with fine wines so that diners can savour the individual cuisine of all five leading resorts in one fell swoop.
The journey begins at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, with an exquisite starter of fresh seared Atlantic scallops with cauliflower cream, local herbs, tomato relish and white balsamic dressing, paired with a bottle of Monsonn Valley, Blanc de Blancs Brut NV.
Diners then make their way to InterContinental Hua Hin Resort for a second starter of spinach cannelloni with braised cinnamon lamb loin, washed down with a glass of 2016 White Shiraz from Monsoon Valley Winery
Next stop is the Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa, which presents the first main course: Fillet of sea bass with crispy bacon and truffle potato mousseline, with the white Monsoon Valley, Colombard, 2016.
The second main course can be enjoyed just up the beach at the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin, Thyme and pistachio filled chicken ballotine wrapped with crispy bacon, sweet corn puree, baby carrot, french beans and champignons, with Madeira jus. The wine pairing here is the 2015 Shiraz from Monsoon Valley.
This wondrous five-course feast concludes at the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa with a dessert of Hua Hin pineapple parfait, enjoyed with a glass of Monsoon Valley, Chenin Blanc, 2016
