Running the Capital

Thailand's premier running event, the BDMS Bangkok Marathon celebrates its 31st edition held on 18 November. Starting and finishing at Sanam Chai Road in front of the majestic Grand Palace, the route offers a unique view of Bangkok from the streets, free of the usual traffic congestion. Passing by city landmarks including Sanam Luang, Thammasat University and Saranrom Park, the route also crosses the Somdet Phra Pin-Klao Bridge over the Chao Phraya River and the elevated Borommaratchachonnani Road. A half-marathon, 10K and 5K will also be held on the same date.
