Rioja comes to Bangkok

The distinguished La Rioja winemaking region takes centre stage at an exclusive Spanish wine tasting experience from 7:00 – 9:00 PM on 8th March and 26th April 2019 at Decanter, The St. Regis Bangkok.

A selection of five red, white, and sparkling wines is presented by CVNE (Compañia Vinicola del Norte del España), one of the region’s oldest family-run wineries and founded in 1879.

The intimate wine experiences will be led by Marina Eito, a Rioja born and bred connoisseur of wine.

“For 140 years CVNE has been innovators of the production and aging of wine in Rioja, a region whose history of winemaking dates back to the 11th century BC. For our wine experience events at The St. Regis Bangkok, we are delighted to share with oenophiles a handpicked selection of award-winning red, white, and sparkling wines,” said Eito, brand ambassador and Area Manager of CVNE Asia-Pacific Area Manager.

Wines presented at the Spanish wine tasting experience include an aromatic Verdejo white wine, three bold and savory Rioja red wines – Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva – and a Cava Spanish sparkling wine.

At Decanter, wines are enjoyed with perfectly matched bites created by chefs of The St. Regis Bangkok while seated in inviting armchairs and sofas. Located on the 12th floor of the hotel combining Wine Lounge and Dining Room cover an open space for dining and cocktail standing events, the lounge draws design inspirations from the heritage of an elegant gentleman’s club.
