Artisan Heritage

Thailand's traditional arts and handicrafts are known worldwide, but modernisation and commercialisation have taken many practices far from their historical roots and ties to the natural environment. Until 31 March, a special exhibition at Raya Heritage Hotel, Tracing the Fading Legacy - Stories of Living Legends is showcasing the work of master artisans and highlight the traditional Lanna way of life as told through their exceptional pieces. Honouring the last guardians of Lanna’s invaluable cultural heritage, photographs and monographs will also capture the stories and techniques of these masters, documenting arts fast fading away from the traditional fabric of life.
