Die-hard romantic or not, Valentine's Day in Thailand should be eagerly anticipated by all foodies and chocolate lovers. While young Thais will be celebrating with gifts and trinkets, restaurants and hotels pull out all the stops with champagne specials, feasts for two, and decadent chocolate-centric spreads. If you're in metropolitan Bangkok or the romantic beaches of the south, odds are good that top eateries and your dining venue of choice will be offering a Valentine's Day special on or around 14 February. Do plan your celebrations early, be they for romantic or gastronomic purposes. February is still high season and tables should be booked in advance to avoid heartbreak.
