Monsoon Valley has been producing award-winning wines in the lush hills just outside of Hua Hin for over a decade, and Metro on Wireless has selected two from their premium collection to pair with a range of flavourful Thai favourites.
The Shiraz is a medium body wine with notes of plum and cherry that complement the richness of coconut-based curries and duck, while the Colombard has a velvety body with aromas of green apple and passion fruit ideal for the lighter spiciness of Thai salads as well as seafood and chicken.
For THB 450++, diners can pair either a glass of Shiraz or Colombard with a selection from a specially curated menu of delectable Thai dishes for both lunch and dinner from 11:30 am – 11:00 pm.
Suggested for the Colombard are roasted chicken with green curry and steamed jasmine rice, spicy Akami tuna and salmon with Thai herbs salad, and neighbourhood style of seared tofu with homemade chilli sauce and organic salad. For the Shiraz, the chef recommends banana blossom with seared Hokkaido scallops salad, stir-fried squid with yellow curry powder, pickle and peanut sauce, duck breast with red curry, sweet potato and pineapple, and deep-fried chicken, spicy papaya salad and sticky rice.
